Muskegon 6 - 3 USA
| On Friday, September 9th, the Muskegon Lumberjacks defeated the USA NTDP Under 17 team 6-3. |
On Friday, September 9th, the Muskegon Lumberjacks defeated the USA NTDP (National Team Development Program) Under 17 Team 6-3. The Lumberjacks outshot Team USA 37-24. Both teams compete in the USHL (United States Hockey League), and the preseason game was played at the USA Hockey Arena located at 14900 Beck Road, in Plymouth. NJICLE Kickoff Classic
I am honored to be speaking at the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education's upcoming "Kickoff Classic" on September 24. The classic will focus on sports law controversies and CLE credit will be available. This link has the key details and information on signing up, and I hope you do.
Specific topics in the classic include:
• Public relations disasters – what is an attorney’s role when the players and coaches
commit “fouls” off of the field
• Representing sports agents – legal issues involved in courting and signing with the NFL
• NCAA compliance – how to keep college players on the amateur side of the dividing line
• Betting on games - the current status of sports betting in New Jersey
• Concussions – the latest law on injuries and liability
• Gaming the system - O’Bannon vs. NCAA and should student athletes be paid for the
use of their names and likenesses in video games

Flat Rock Speedway 9/3/2016

It was an action packed night at Flat Rock Speedway last Saturday, and the place was filled with fans. Kyle Worley, and the #15 car won the 25 Lap Street Stock A Main Feature. James Pankow, and the #5 car won the 15 Lap Street Stock B Main Feature. Dennis Whisman Sr. and the #1 car won the 20 Lap Figure 8 Feature.
The night also featured a pair of Flag Pole Races, a Boat Figure 8 Race, and a School Bus Figure 8 Race. Bill Carberry, and the #48 car won the Stock Car Flag Pole Race. Bill Early, and the #09 car won the Figure 8's Flag Pole Race. AJ Padgett, and the #11 car won the Boat Figure 8 Race. Pete Shrake, and the Budget Tire Bus won the School Bus Figure 8 Race.
