| The Michigan Wolverines swept the UIC Flames in all four games of their series. |
This past weekend, the University of Michigan baseball team hosted the UIC (University of Illinois at Chicago) Flames for a four game series. The Wolverines defeated the Flames 10-2 on Friday, 5-0 on Saturday, 10-4 on Saturday, and 5-4 on Sunday. The Wolverines are currently ranked #23rd in the Country. The University of Michigan baseball team currently has an overall record of 16-5. Erik Bakich is in his 4th season as Head Coach of the baseball program, and the Wolverines are built to make a run to the College World Series. The UIC baseball team currently has an overall record of 9-15, but the Flames are 2-1 in the Horizon League. The Flames play their home games at Granderson Stadium, in Chicago.
