College Hoops





On Friday, December 23rd, the University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines defeated the Adrian College Bulldogs 64-62.











     On Friday, December 23rd, the University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines defeated the Adrian College Bulldogs 64-62.  #20 Jason Penn lead the Wolverines with 19 points, and 15 rebounds, and #10 Marcus Williams added 18 points, and 6 rebounds.  The Bulldogs had a chance at a game winning shot from half court, but the attempt came up short.  Adrian College competes in Division III of the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association).  The University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines compete in Division II of the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics).  Click on the links below for more information about the NCAA, or the NAIA.

Junior Varsity College Hoops






On Tuesday, the University of Michigan Dearborn Junior Varsity men's basketball team earned a 75-63 victory. 











     On Tuesday, December 6th, the University of Michigan Dearborn Junior Varsity men's basketball team defeated the Olivet College Junior Varsity men's basketball team 75-63.  The Olivet College Varsity men's basketball team competes in Division III of the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association).  The University of Michigan Dearborn Varsity men's basketball team competes in Division II of the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics).  Click on the links below for more information about the NCAA, or the NAIA.

UofM Has Another Wheatley





There is a park in the city of Inkster dedicated to Tyrone Wheatley. 










     Many college football fans think about the legendary running back from Michigan whenever they hear the name Tyrone Wheatley.  Tyrone Wheatley is currently coaching Running Backs at the University of Michigan, but the Wolverines have another Tyrone Wheatley at the Tight End position.
     Tyrone Wheatley Jr. is playing in his Sophomore season for the Wolverines, and he's already contributed in the stat column.  Wheatley currently has 2 receptions for 27 yards, and a touchdown.  Both receptions came against the University of Illinois.  Tyrone Wheatley is behind Jake Butt on the depth chart, but Wheatley has shown the ability to produce when his number has been called upon.  Tyrone Wheatley still has two more years of eligibility left at the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) level after this season.  Click on the links for more information about the University of Michigan athletic program, or the NCAA.

UofM-D vs. WMU





On Saturday, the University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines defeated the Western Michigan University Stallions 4-2.











     Last Saturday, the University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines defeated the Western Michigan University Stallions 4-2.  The Wolverines also defeated the Stallions 7-2 on Friday night.  Both schools compete in Division I of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association), and both teams play in the GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League).  Scroll down to check out exclusive photos from Saturday night's game. Heidelberg 28-21 CU Reserves





The Heidelberg University Reserve Team defeated the Concordia University Reserve Team 28-21. 










    On Sunday, October 9th, the Heidelberg University Reserve Team defeated the Concordia University Cardinals Reserve Team 28-21.  The Heidelberg University Student Princes scored a late game winning touchdown.  The game was played at Cardinal Stadium, in Ann Arbor.  Scroll down to see exclusive photos from last Sunday's game.

Michigan vs. UIC





The Michigan Wolverines swept the UIC Flames in all four games of their series.










      This past weekend, the University of Michigan baseball team hosted the UIC (University of Illinois at Chicago) Flames for a four game series.  The Wolverines defeated the Flames 10-2 on Friday, 5-0 on Saturday, 10-4 on Saturday, and 5-4 on Sunday.  The Wolverines are currently ranked #23rd in the Country.  Scroll down to see exclusive photos from Saturday's college baseball showdown.  The photographs were taken during the second game of Saturday's doubleheader.
     The University of Michigan baseball team currently has an overall record of 16-5.  Erik Bakich is in his 4th season as Head Coach of the baseball program, and the Wolverines are built to make a run to the College World Series.  The Wolverines are the defending Big 10 Tournament Champions.  Click on the links below for more information about the Big 10 Conference, the NCAA, or the University of Michigan athletic program.

Softball: Madonna vs. Findlay





On Saturday, the University of Findlay Oilers defeated the Madonna Crusaders twice.  The scores were 11-1, and 12-2.











     On Saturday, the Madonna University women's softball team hosted the University of Findlay Oilers for a two game series.  The Oilers defeated the Crusaders 11-1 in the first game, and 12-2 in the second game. DeBerry: Bear To Bearcat





Coreontae DeBerry (dunking) is playing in his Senior season for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats.











     Coreontae DeBerry is playing in his Senior season for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats.  DeBerry (from Holland, Michigan) previously played for the Mott Community College Bears during the 2012-2013 season. DeBerry is 6'9, and is currently averaging 6 points, and 4 rebounds per game.  The Bearcats are the #9 seed in the West Region of the NCAA men's basketball tournament, and are scheduled to play against the #8 seed St. Josephs Hawks on Friday, March 18th, at 9:57 p.m.  Tomorrow's 1st round NCAA Tournament game will take place in Spokane, Washington.  Click on the links below for more information about the NCAA, the University of Cincinnati athletic program, or Mott Community College.

Adrian 3-2 UofM-D in OT





Last night, the Adrian College Bulldogs defeated the University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines 3-2 in overtime.
